The past few days have been pretty exhilarating to say the least in Madrid. I’ve finally recovered from jet lag, and have begun exploring many of the different areas around my host family’s house. We live on a fairly quite street, but around the corner, is an entirely different view. I’ve come to learn that I live next to Senate Building and the Royal Palace. Although our class is about a 20 minute walk from the apartment, I would say the view is definitely worth it.
I am currently living with Señora Mercedes and her two children Miguel and Pablo along with another student from the program. For those who know me, Spanish is not one of my best skill sets, but it looks like I’ll need to learn fast.
This is one of the first trips studying abroad, and I’m nervous to say the least. I’m not familiar with Madrid or what’s ahead for me, but I’m excited! Bring it on!
